About Kanayamidori
The kanayamidori cultivar is normally used for creating a creamy, full-bodied sencha. Matcha made from this cultivar is quite rare, but we find it to be delicious! The creamy body still carries through, alongside a chocolatey finish and some more unusual notes like vinyl and the oddly mouth-watering smell of Playdough.
Origin
Bessho is a sub-region of Wazuka, the main tea town of Uji. This matcha, like all of our tea, has been farmed with entirely natural methods, with no sprays or chemical fertilizers of any kind, resulting in a complex, bright and aromatic matcha that is better for you and for the environment.
Milled-To-Order
As with all of our matcha, our Kanayamidori is milled-to-order by us in Minneapolis. This guarantees the highest percentage of aromatic compounds and antioxidants, as well as a smoother matcha.
