These matcha's are milled from the highest quality tencha, grown in Japan's Kyoto Prefecture and sourced specially for River & Stone from the most highly respected tencha farmers.  We've been milling our Premium cultivars since our first mill arrived from Japan two years ago and couldn't be happier with their flavors, aromas and textures!  Our Rare matchas are available only when our partner in Japan comes across special tencha in limited supply ... always an exciting call to get!

All River & Stone Matchas are sold in 20 gram airtight tins, wrapped in hand-made washi paper.
